Amemura has an image of a place where new songs pop up from fountain every day. All the seniors and juniors were simmered in the same pot and they worked hard each other, and after all the layers are so thick that there are many good artists.

Whether it was the wavelength of the land, having been Osaka, I got better fortune for sure. Frequently, ‘Kanto is a samurai culture and Kansai is a merchant culture’. Kanto style is “I have found you at last.” and Kansai styles is “Even a chance meeting is due to fate.” The fact that each mind is totally different is that the type of people living there are different or whether it depends on the type of occupation, but for me, even in Kanto, I pretend to be stupid and beat down the price at a convenience store, or something like playing “Please let me buy it for 3 yen a bit”. [Laughs] But I liked that kind of communication. Perhaps I was originally like a Kansai personality. Amemura has an image of a place where new songs pop up from fountain every day. All the seniors and juniors were simmered in the same pot and they worked hard each other, and after all the layers are so thick that there are many good artists. I learned what I am from Osaka. I think that it is the second hometown that I was given a good fortune. I have a strong feeling of Yokosuka Kansai Uraniwa (backyard).

The town itself is not a big town, no matter how you do hip-hop or do reggae or do rock, there is a sense that everyone is on the same ship as they are one residence in one town. I think that there is special power because it is such a place.

I was born and raised in Yokosuka, I mean, I’m a pure Yokosuka-Kid. Keihin Kyuko is a red train, but I thought that all the trains in the world were red until about the middle school, I thought that all the buses were blue, and I thought it was a red stripe, in other words I thought that my father’s driving technic was the best in the world. That perspective is natural, children become adults. That’s why it was not a different thing that a foreigner was on board a train or a friend had a foreigner, I wonder if it was a place to nurture the borderless feeling inside of me while I do not know it. The town itself is not a big town, no matter how you do hip-hop, reggae, or rock, there is a sense that everyone is on the same ship as people live in one town. I think that there is special power because it is such a place. For example, *Former prime minister Koizumi comes out from my high school and *Dr. Koshiba who has been awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics is also there. There are politicians and scholars as well. Last but not least, reggae Dee-Jay such like me. I think that it is a place where a borderless feeling is cultivated.

I like the word ‘roots and culture’ and I’ll keep it close to heart so much that I should not forget my own roots.

I like the word ‘roots and culture’ and I’ll keep it close to heart so much that I should not forget my own roots. For example, even if it is written in a magazine like a street representative, I’m never a man who came out from the street, I came across my life as it was, met street culture, met street people, met good people and bad people, but I met such various people and various things was happen, I think that’s an important thing is the balance.

What I do with any role means there is the possibility of wearing any shoes. Then I have to be able to wear any clothes. Of course I liked to wear in various ways, at the same time I was practicing with my sensitivity something like mind and style.

Everyone says that I am a fashion icon, but I did not know when I got it like that, I also talked about street matters as before, but I think that I was the type that such images came from magazines. But I do not feel bad at all because I understand the cool people and cool mind are there. “Ah People looking me like that” I feel happy, I do not feel bad at all. I’m not just sending such images from myself, and bring my feeling to an end. I thought that I really wore various clothes, especially during high school days. I wrote it in a book when I was 20, I also wear sneakers, wearing beach sandal, wearing engineer boots and wearing a rubber sole etc.. I was trying a different style. It was also a practice to become an actor. What I do with any role means there is the possibility of wearing any shoes. Then I have to be able to wear any clothes. Of course I liked to wear in various ways, at the same time I was practicing with my sensitivity something like mind and style.
